-Nigeria.

Paschal, an expert agronomist and advocate for sustainable food security, has weighed in on the growing tensions across Africa, particularly the latest diplomatic fallout between South Africa and Rwanda over the crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In a powerful message, he questions whether Africa is abandoning its long-held values of unity and brotherhood in favor of war and division.

“Is Africa beginning to love war, crisis, and conflict? What happened to the brotherhood that once united us?” Paschal asked.

He highlighted how African nations once stood together in the face of adversity, particularly during the struggles for independence and economic liberation. But today, he says, Africa is witnessing a dangerous shift, one where regional conflicts are escalating, and nations are turning against each other instead of working together.

“The situation in the DRC should remind us of a bigger issue. Instead of strengthening alliances and fostering peace, we are now seeing nations backing rebels, engaging in military confrontations, and allowing external interests to fuel instability. Have we forgotten that the real enemies are poverty, underdevelopment, and the exploitation of our resources?” he stated.

Paschal called on African leaders to refocus on dialogue and diplomacy, warning that continued conflict will only weaken the continent. “If we keep going down this path, we will not be remembered as the generation that built Africa, but the one that tore it apart,” he warned.
As the crisis in the DRC continues to unfold, Paschal’s message serves as a strong reminder that Africa’s true strength has always come from unity, not war. Will the continent’s leaders heed the call for peace, or will Africa continue down this dangerous road? The coming days will be crucial.
